a day off...at last!

It's been a while since I have had a real day off. One where I felt relaxed enough to turn the computer off for 12 or so hours and really have fun. With summer to soon fade into winter, I really wanted to spend this weekend at the beach.

So off we went, armed with my new waterproof camera, two bodyboards, sunscreen and towels.
We spent about 240 minutes riding the waves at the beach, our skin burning and eyes stained with salt, the sun glistened like diamonds on the water as each set swelled and rolled into the shore.

We then spent 10 minutes in Macca's drivethrough, 5 minutes driving to our next destination, 5 minutes chatting to the rude lady at the counter, 1 minute pulling the camera back out and diving head first into the blue water of the resort pool. What then proceeded was at least 50 minutes of completely foolish behaviour under the water, in front of the camera, we drew far too much attention to ourselves but managed to take at least 50 of the most unflattering photos one could ever hope for!

Now, no day is a full day without my son doing some form of acrobatics. He is completely obsessed and I am convinced that he may have a backflip habbit!
After another 20 minutes in the pool, he then spent at least 30 minutes backflipping along the giant jumping pillows. Could he ever possibly get sick of it? I dont think so!

660 minutes later and we are exhausted, ready for another day of work. Although this week I have the most adorable, romantic, special session to show you so stay tuned! That will be, of course, after I get some sleep!
